Joint-stock company
Joint Stock Company (S.A.) is the most complex form of conducting business activity known to Polish law, typical for medium and large enterprises. All a companies listed on the stock exchange are organized as joint stock companies. The advantage of running a business in the form of a joint stock company is the possibility of cheap capital raising by issuing the shares. It is an excellent instrument for facilitating business development.
Appointing a board (at least one member) and a supervisory board (at least 3 members) is required to set up a joint stock company. A joint stock company must have at least one shareholder.
The share capital of a joint-stock company is at least 100.000 (one hundred thousand) PLN. and is divided into shares of equal nominal value of not less than 0.01 PLN.
